Carpe Diem Seize The Day The bug that irks you, the yellow butterfly that catches your eye, and the furred thing with sharp teeth that repels you-are all in your moment of history This is my favorite line in the whole poem, I share the same idea with the poet on this. Just as she said in the poem, I believe that anything we've been through is a part, a piece of history of our life, these are the thing that made us human and made us unique. When we dealing with situations that happens to us, no matter it's good or bad, we should always face it and experience it, if it's a situation you want to get out, you do your best to change it and make everything better. Another reason is that there aren't a lot of poets write these into their poems, which is also another reason I chose this part.

Notes on poems

For the first poem , one thing that I ’ m interested about is that it seems like the author describes a day from the morning to night throughout the poem , I ’ ve seen poem before telling stories , but never those with this type of sequence. For the second poem , there ’ re not a lot of complicated languages , but it still shows what the author wants to show about when he writes a poem. « The bug that irks you , the yellow butterfly , that catches your eye , and the furred thing with sharp teeth that repels you -- are all in your moment of history. » is a part that I really like , I agree with the fact that everything you ’ ve been through is part of your life , and you should face it.

Monologue Reflection

When a person talk in front of a camera in real life situation, they won’t be fluently speaking every sentence they will speak,  especially for mine monologue, the mood of it is sadness, which means that I will need to pause in the middle of some sentence to show the sadness in it. I would still like to work on controlling me facial expression. When I look back to my monologue, I think I should really work on that because mine did not show the emotion in the monologue well. I’ve seen a lot of great performances with a lot of movement to show the content of the monologue more vividly, even though mine don’t really need that, but it is still a great way to tell and show to the audience about the monologue. As a class I think we should work on remembering lines, most of us can’t remember the lines perfectly, to show the play better, we would need to remember the lines so th...

I relate myself to a cup of tea. Before making a cup of tea, there are many processes that the leaf have to face, and after all, how it made decides how good it is and what it worth. Just like people, we all face a lot of different challenge every single day, some of us make it and some of us not, which decides the worth our life in the end.
